Love: A Word Slowly DyingLove: A Word Slowly Dying
What is love?
You were to ask most, they would not know an answer other than what physical love is....
And that is not love...... that is nothing close to love...
Love is a word that has lost its true meaning to most people. They think that love is the same as wanting to sleep with someone.... no, it isn't...... love is the joy that you get from the smile of the one that your world seems dark without. love is the joy that one gets from making that same person happy, their own happiness derived from that of the one they love.... but it does not, SHOULD not, be only sexual pleasure that are brought to mind by the word love.....
it should be the beauty in one that others see as plain, or the radiance in their smile...... there are so many things that love is and should be...but few that love actually is any more......
How can someone honestly say that love still thrives true, when there are stories like the ones that I've had the misfortune to be observing....
Explanation of Shadow Shifters Race
Shadow-Shifters: A race of my own invention that I created because my character Kage was a being of pure shadow, but had no real species, so I decided to invent one.
Shadow Shifters are beings that come from an alternate realm called Sjeneria, which is nothing but a far reaching mass of shadows and darkness. The Shadow Shifters themselves are beings of pure shadows, made of a shadow alternative to normal matter [not dark matter though] called shadow matter, which is in essence coalesced shadows formed into atoms.
Since they are not made of normal matter, they do not operate on the normal physiology of most creatures. All SShifters can change their shape and appearance at will, be it just changing things such as skin tone and eye colour, or shifting from being a human to being a towering colossus made of ice, to an armour plated dragon. As such it is not un-common to see a SShifter and not know that you have met it already since it looks different than when you met it.

Every brick, every crack in the concrete, every crossed and angular stroke in reds and blacks and oranges. The drips of the gasoline pool around the base of her boots, slosh as she steps over the burst pipes and the rubble.
So much rubble. So little outcry. The silence of the city grates on her eardrums and the mantras she'd been forced to memorize. The Seers demanded they observe thirteen years of recitation before they attempt to weave their first World together.
But who other than the Seers can claim the incantations that knot the skeins they twist and pull on like reins hold fast? When have any of the Sisters recorded the visions they traced upon space-time and recited them, left them open for critique and discussion and debate?
Which is why she walks through the chalky soot of the smashed city around her. This all
