I was originally going to use Chrysalis' entire silhouette, however I really liked how her horn looked whenever I started putting effects on it, so I decided to just use her horn.

I did something similar for my Tumblr icon a while ago with the same thought process. Yours is prettier though. And yes, it does make an excellent emblem.
